We were again in the community of Areni on a working visit within the framework of the “Local works support to Areni consolidated community in Armenia” project.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the implementation of the participatory budgeting process with the head of the community and to plan steps to make the process more effective.
Areni community started the participatory budgeting process this year, becoming one of the 19 communities that voluntarily initiated this important participatory process in the community.
Within the framework of participatory budgeting, 10 million drams have been allocated from the budget of Areni community for the purpose of implementing community development projects, projects whose ideas will be presented by residents.
