Social Entrepreneurship

Social entrepreneurship can be defined as entrepreneurial activity that seeks to implement innovative solutions to unresolved social problems.

Social entrepreneurship is primarily aimed at solving social problems and implementing social reforms, and then only using market opportunities.

Social enterprises can be formed as newly created startups or as transformations of already existing organizations (including public organizations).

ADC NGO implemented a social entrepreneurship program.

“GreenDom”

“GreenDom” is a social entrepreneurship project, the goal of which is to ensure the sustainability of the “Sunrise” children’s support center.

As part of the project, a greenhouse was built, where children with disabilities attending the center receive occupational therapy services, and the income from the products grown in the greenhouse is fully provided to the center to continue its activities.

The project was funded by the Prague Civic Center with co-financing from the British Council.
